New York Times bestselling author Lauren Thompson and acclaimed illustrator Jarrett J. Krosoczka show readers the joys of eating in this bright, rhythmic book that’s perfect for the youngest chompers and gulpers. Every page features kids devouring their favorite foods, accompanied by bouncy rhyming text and a corresponding label for what’s being eaten. Crunching, munching, gobbling, or guzzling—there are so many different ways to eat, each one more fun than the last!

* As a food lover (both cooking and eating it!) I'm always on the look out for children's books related to the subject.  This book, written in short phrases, shows all the different ways that food can be eaten ("pop it" or "crunch it" for example).  The illustrations are bright and colorful and each page has a label of the food showcased, although all of the foods are ones that almost every child has already seen before.  I think it may have been more interesting if the book showcased foods from other cultures that might be new to the reader.  My kids had a fun time though, taking turns naming the different foods.

Family Rating: 1 thumb up.
