Lots of jobs but none will do. Who will find a job for Blue?
* Now that my son has started really reading we have been getting beginning reader chapter books from the library. I try to find books that will catch his interest. He's really into cars, trains, and dinosaurs. When I showed him this book he grabbed it and started looking at it immediately. This is part of the Stone Arch Reader series. They have 3 different levels of readers, and the reading level on the back, to help your child choose appropriate reading books for their level. This book is a Level 1(Starting to Read) and we discovered at the end of the book that there are several books with the same characters as this one. In this story Blue Truck wants to help some of the other trucks but is told that he's too little. This is a common problem that youngsters can relate to. Fortunately, at the end of the story he finds someone that needs his help. My son really enjoyed this book and we've already read Ride and Seek, another book in the series.
* This book was borrowed from the library.
Family Rating: 1 1/2 thumbs up.
