from goodreads.com:
"In the deep dark woods/ by the Strawberry Vale / a big bear lumbers / down a small, crooked trail." Bear Feels Scared delivers a message as impressive as its title: There is nothing to be ashamed about; even giant furry creatures sometimes feel scared. A picture book perfect for nighttime reading.

* Karma Wilson has written over thirty children's book.  Bear Feels Scared is one of seven books in the "Bear" series.  This book is about Bear who gets lost in the woods during a storm and gets scared.  The illustrator uses dark colors to help contribute to the dary, stormy feeling.  The story is told in rhyme, with a repeating phrase that children can chime in on.  It can be used as a discussion starter to help kids identify what they are scared of and help them relate a little more to those feelings.  I thought that it was a cute story and will definitely check out more of the books in this series.

Family Rating:  1 1/2 thumbs up.
